Our ape went away for three whole days!  She went to Seattle to try out for the Seahawks go to a pro-fession-al conference.  She thinks she's soooooooo smart but while she was gone we put together an educational film without her.  We await our professorship.

My ma ape (artist's rendering.)  Wednesday was my burpday and she 1) sent away my GranNE who I love more than anything 2) forgot my burpday until 3 p.m. 3) did not bake me a cake 4) did not shower me with gifts.

This is one sad sheppy!  The other dogs put together a short film for me.  At least someone loves me.

Too Damn Exciting!

We are sorry for our potty mouths but the month of June is going to be excitement central.  First, one of our apes was gone this weekend and our ma ape is leaving this week for ANOTHER con-fur-ants. (We're starting to think this "work" stuff is a boondoggle.) She's going here:

THEN when ma ape gets back GRAN-NE IS COMING! GRAN-NE is coming!  She will take a break from planting Otis buffets:

And...OMD...SOPHIE BRADOR IS COMING!!!!!!

AND..TODAY IS HER BURPDAY! She is having a mini-pawty up in Montreal but her visit is a perfect excuse for ANOTHER PAWTY! Prepare yourself for the pawty of the century DELA-WHERES!

So, we made a movie to let our ape who was out of town this weekend know what we've been up to and to warn inform Sophie and GranNE what they should be prepared for, ie., non-stop funballs!



ETA:  Oscar wanted us to note that his burpday is this month, too. WHATEVER DUDE, SOPHIE'S COMING!

Suitcase Sadness.

The ape has gotten out the suitcase, started packing her things.  That prompts many feelings. 

 Sadness.

Fear.

 Reflection.

 Walking upright.

Unmitigated rage.

Drunkenness.

More drunkenness.

Passed out drunkenness.  Yes, she is leaving us for a con-fur-ence. BOO!  We have been going through her luggage for clues.

A Tail of Betrayal

These are the times that try dogs' bowls souls. Our ma ape is about to start working on the index of her book (Our suggested title: Four Dogs is Not Nearly Enough). But as we were reading her Facebook wall we discovered she had received an application from this dude:

WHAT!!??!?! It's a cat! Who thinks he is smart because his name is GRAMSCI! And because he has a most refined gardening blog instead of one focused on food, humping, and shark face games. (And who is larger than Edgrr so the Grrr'd better mind his Ps and Qs.) We are most offended that we were not asked!

After all, we are clearly towering intellectuables.

We work hard on our mentals stimulations.

And know a great deal about the business end of apes.

We're reporting this to Human Resources. Clearly an error has been made.

In absentia

We don't know what that title means. We just think it sounds totes smart, no? It's the non-sheppy dudes here and we have been gone for SO LONG! I think we last blogged 87234 dog years ago. No, our ma ape did not move to Dee Cee to take a job as a Presidential Advisor on Procrastination and Neglecting your Dogs (her specialties).

Nor is it the case that we have not been doing plenty of pho-to-genic things.

And our ape sez she is busy but she has found time to do the following: SPCA Saturday, sleeping, eating, drinking a Dogfish Head beer, cooking chile rellanos, teach several classes, read the internets (all of them), watch several games of the football. So therefore there is NO REASON WHY WE HAVE NOT BLOGGED. Here is a visual representation of how fighitn' mad we are.

So we have made her promise that she will help us update the blog including telling about the fabled origins of the name Edgrr, moar giardias!, things we are learning about the footballs and other enjoyable diversions, and EDGRR'S FIRST BONE. That last one doesn't really need blogging but he is STOKED. Oh, and we should tell you about the Greatest Love of All, that between an Elderly Pit Boo and his Baby Pemmie Brudder. See youse guys later. But not 20 years later which is how long it took us to blog last time.

A Report of Abandonment!

Our ma ape is going away AGAIN! But this time not all the way to Nebraska. She is going to DEE CEE for a few days. And we were all, "But ma ape your favoritest person was there LAST weekend!"

And made an angry face and wouldn't give us snacks. Well, we asked her to say hi to our bestie.

Don't worry, ma ape! We'll have everything under control!

Not a Fair Fight

Ethel and I have been fighting the good fight for common sense and reason. NO PUPPIES. We of more advanced age do not need a young whippersnapper nipping at our heels. But how are we supposed to contend with THIS???




I might as well give up the snuggle ball now. Sigh.


P.S. These photos give the misleading impression that the pupster spends a great deal of time sleeping and not being a little busybody. This is not an accurate accounting of his time.

Our ma ape is BROKEN

Our ma ape is so stupid. It might be old age dementia, though we're not sure there was much up there to dement, if you know what I mean. Anyway, last weekend she forgot to take her camera for SPCA Saturday. This weekend she came home with something extra!!

What! It is most definitely a corgi. You can identify them by their bunny butts. See?

He was TERRIFIED at the shelter and shaking and scared but he has plenty of moxie here. Indeed, he is mighty fond of our undercarriages.

In spite of his LACK of manners we've decided to let him stay for a slumber party. But first we have to wear him out!

He likes to be chased.

And sometimes he even enjoys the pursuit.

Indeed, he has even humped both dogs in this photo.

We hope he brought his pjs! But if he's cold he can just wrap those crazy ears around himself.

Now we're MAD!

Our ma ape went to New York City and all she brought us back were these lousy photos (and some cookies from Sophie!). She went to the Big City for the Dogs With Blogs FIRST Annual Meet-up. First, she met with a beeeee---yooooo-tiful lady, the hostess with the mostest, ASTA!

And she stayed in a hotel with movie posters. This must be a Horror Film--KITTENS WITH WHIPS!

And then. AND THEN!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! NYC is FILLED with monsters! Maybe it is best we did not go.
