Meet one of my new best friends! This chap is Patrick--Irish Wolfhound mix! Top o' the Waterbowl to ya!

He likes potatoes and Guinness. Haha! I'm kidding. He loves to play AND is supersweet. But he is very very strong. Like ME!

This chap doesn't have a name yet but he is the brudder of the tripod from last week!

Remember Bailey the Tripod? Here she is playing with her brudder. They are both up for a good time racing. And don't count out the tripod lady. She could keep up with ME!

And check out Clifford! He's a corgi/jack russell mix. He is healing from being attacked by a lab in his home but he's still full of the sassback. Kind of like me. Except I'm not so sassy. But I am bringing sexyback.

Speaking of which! I am so excited that the Fightin' Phils are TWO games up on the Dodgy Dodgers in the NLCS. Wooooo!

I could be a Fightin' Philly! But with less fighting, more eating giant pretzels and hotdogs!

I think that now is the perfect time to adopt a new dog to watch the WORLD SERIES with! We are great at cleaning out your dip bowls and we would probably let you scratch our bellies for all 9 innings!

Today is my Gran-NE's burpday and I think she must be about 30 or so because she doesn't look a day over 25. (And I'm not just saying that because she's going to come visit me soon to bring me OMAHA STEAKS).

I would like to give a visit from this gent to my Gran-NE but that Obama fellow said he is a bit busy right now so I'm just going to give her an Obama Presidency!

You see, my Gran-NE is a committed paw-litical activist. When my ma ape was born my Gran-NE campaigned for the Democrats with paw-litical pamphlets tucked into my ma ape's stroller. This year she helped lead the Democrats Cow-caus in NE-braska. Go Gran-NE!

Newspaper Gets It Right: Old Dogs ARE the Best Dogs!

My GraNE sent me this photo essay from the WaPo entitled Old Dogs are the Best Dogs.

There's an accompanying story about an old dog. This was my favorite part:

Some years ago, the Style section invited readers to come up with a midlife list of goals for an underachiever. The first-runner-up prize went to:

"Win the admiration of my dog."

It's no big deal to love a dog; they make it so easy for you.
