Newspaper Gets It Right: Old Dogs ARE the Best Dogs!
My GraNE sent me this photo essay from the WaPo entitled Old Dogs are the Best Dogs.
There's an accompanying story about an old dog. This was my favorite part:
Some years ago, the Style section invited readers to come up with a midlife list of goals for an underachiever. The first-runner-up prize went to:
"Win the admiration of my dog."
Thanks for sending the story, GraNE. It has gotten me loads of sniffly snuggles and snacks! Way to go! Though I don't know who around here is old?

Grammie is leaking from reading the article, but we know how she feels about old dogs. She would take them all in if she was able.

Old dogs are cool. You are right. Just wouldn't mind knowing how old I am. x + five is all I know.
The Girl is leaking... She has always wanted to have enough money to start a sanctuary where old dogs (who don't get adopted, and she doesn't know why) could go to live out their retirement.

Old dogs ARE great! Mommy used to have one. I'm a little sad that Big Red hasn't gotten adopted yet. I hope he does soon. I would be his girlfriend, except I'm not allowed to have a boyfriend!
