SPCA Saturday!

As per usual my loose ma ape went to slut around with some dogs at the SPCA. And it was a great day because a whole bunch got adopted while she was there! Wooooo!

Here are some that are still up for adoption. This is Daisy:

And Regina!

And this is the Chocolate Chihuahua with no name so my ma ape called him Andre the Giant:

And Mia got adopted:

And Patches got adopted. So did a little puppy named Cuddles.

And my ma ape fell in love (eye roll). She said this dude reminded her of me cuz he was a chunkster. NOT FUNNY. Also he had moxie. She's a little suspicious because his description said that his owners were leaving the country and he does look an awful lot like the White House dog Barney (the best part about the Bushes). Where do you think his parents are planning their exile?

The first thing he did when my ma ape let him off his leash? ROACHIN'! Cool dude, this Scottie.

Ain't No Bugs in Me!

We got back our poop tests from the vet. All clear. Which means that only ONE member of the family (out of five) escaped the giardia.

My ma ape finds this suspicious. As if perhaps someone engineered a Wally-resistant strain of giardia and planted it on the new guy to make him look like a germ bucket. Someone perhaps with a microbiologist GranNE.

My lips are sealed.

And drooling.

Returning to the Corgiville Fair

I saw this story today that children's book writer and illustrator Tasha Tudor died at 92. I don't read a lot of children's books since I do much more high fallutin' reading like Booker Prize winners or Jezebel but I knew Tudor's work because she often featured corgis as characters. And she was, herself, a corgi enthusiast. To wit:

Ms. Tudor’s favorite of all her books was “Corgiville Fair,” one of several she wrote about the Welsh corgi dogs she kept as pets, sometimes 13 or 14 at once.

House Gone Mad

Well, it's official. The inmates are in charge of the asylum. Our house is officially gone to the dogs.

Do you see wee Oscar has found somewhere to rest his tired, tired paws?

One problem--it's ME!!!!

And the other two think they're coupla sharks.

Lockjaw! (Hey--what's Wally doing back there--tee hee!)

At least in a world gone mad I will always have monkey stick.

Spin Doctor

My ma ape says I am a fraud, a witchdoctor, a snake oil salesman, a quack! In spite of my TLC she felt like this all weekend:

And so she had to go to her vet and now she's being treated for GIARDIA. Ha! A reminder--who did NOT give her giardia?

I'm still a doctor--above all else, do no harm!
