Back in the Dogosphere Blogosphere

My clumsy ma ape's finger is finally back in typing shape now that you have all probably forgotten how devastatingly handsome I am. Here's a reminder:

In the meantime we are in BIG TROUBLE. This happened:

There are two (usual) suspects:

No one but the window was harmed in the making of this crime.

Here are some more crimes. One is that the puperazzi insists on taking photos of me in compromising positions. Here I am scooching:

Can't a dog scratch his butt in peace anymore? I guess photos of my rear are in high demand because someone seems obsessed with them:

Now all this broken finger stuff has convinced me that I might need to adopt a new, more efficient form of communication that is less reliant on long-windedness.

No, I am not smuggling secret messages via tennis ball. (Though I have some mad fetching moves):

The pink tennis ball is a symbol of Sophie, who has been suggesting that I twitter for some time now. So, Sophie, I caved to peer pressure. If you want to find me I am wallytcorgador. As Stephen Colbert says, I have twatted.

A Milestone.

This is a contemplative corgador.

Why, you ask, does he think so deep? Because this is his 1,506th post. And what is so special about 1,506? Why it is special because his 1,500th post passed by before anyone had noticed!

And so here are some of the many things that have happened since I began blogging, lo some five years ago.

I got a new sissy Ethel and a new brudder Oscar and I stole tenny balls from them.

I got spondylosis, a heart problem, switched to a raw diet and ate many a bone.

I met many many canine buds and roached for joy.

Happy 1,506!

Listen Up, Dogbloggies!

I have noticed some highly disturbing and unsettling trends. Slowly but surely, other dogs have crept onto my blog. I was willing to give up valuable real estate for SPCA Saturdays EVEN THOUGH they resulted in the acquisition of one Doofusified Baby Brudder Oscar Bean. But then we had Occasional Oscar and there were requests for Often Oscar--from MY GIRLFRIEND RANDI. So I take this moment to remind us all of the reason for the season (of the dogblog):

ME! Wally T! I may be missing most of my teeth and my legs. But I am still one jaunty fellow.

I blaze trails.

I check out the corn crop.
I contemplate the meaning of life.

I bask in the unbearable lightness of peemailing.

And, I am the intrepid leader to my baby brudder.

Look, I can get a little jealous of the baby brudder because he is labor intensive and cute and does funny things that are blog worthy. But, the truth is, he looks up to me. He copies things that I do, when I tell him to shut up he runs away, and he cleans my face and my ears for me. So I think I'll keep him.

But it is still OCCASIONAL Oscar. And we will never have EVERYDAY Ethel.

A Cool Thou!

This is my ONE THOUSANDTH POST! One G, g! I have been blogging for almost three years which gives me an average of a post per day. That's COMMITMENT.

And in honor of my one-thousandth post I would like to share with you something my friends the Newfs of Hazard discovered--a galaxy named after ME. Yes, the universe is my oyster!

A Tag: What I love about DWB

I got tagged by the girls of The Corgi Lounge to share my five favorite things about Dogs With Blogs. I've been having a hard time with this tag because how do you pick just five?????? But I will try.

1. Red Hot Ladies!

Where else can you go where all the bitches are beautiful, smart and fun???

Including but not limited to The Divine Samantha:

Sophina La Flirtador, she'll steal your heart and your tennis ball:

And the awesome Corgi Lounge girls! It's their world, we're just living in it:

2. Totally Studly Dudes

Oh MAN do I love my Bussie kisses.

And, of course, the Goober Smooches.

And Look! Naked Ike!

3. The Recipe Box!

I love to read about my friends' foodables and then sometimes my ma ape sees recipes and she decides to try 'em out and I get tasty tasty new foodables! Like Nanook (Frosty) Paws, the many foodables of The Dogs of Jackman Ave, the raw stylings of Miss Sunshade and the mad good cookery of Suki's ma.

4. Having vast influence on the English Language.

Thanks to DWB I have learned about roaching. And I, in turn, have led unsuspecting apes to refer to "Wallymelon" in public and have taught dogs the wonders of foodables.

5. Guilt trippin' the ma ape.

I love to hear about how all my friends are being spoiled so that I can show my granny that I am NOT in fact spoiled. I don't get fancy duds like Lorenza.

I am not the only stuffy slayer:

And I don't even get to go to pug playdates like Suki! (I think that one with the tongue is related to my sissy.)

6. This as an extra special bonus reason. In a world where the naked apes have bungled their power and opposable thumbs, it's nice to know that some of them out there are a-ok.

Who should I tag? Hmmm...maybe Bussie, he of the chat organizing, Suki Sumo of the foodables, My Girl Friday Samantha, and my gal up north (of me) Maggie!

It's a small world!

Sometimes strange things happen. This morning I had a comment on a very old post from Jeremy. My old post was about hearing a caller on Car Talk describe her laborgi from Wenatchee, Washington who had eaten their seatbelt. I was curious about her since I am from central Washington and I joked that our proper breed name is CORGADOR.

Jeremy's wife was that caller! And THAT is their beautiful laborgi Amy!

It's a small world--perfect for short legs.

I'm so embarassed.

I went to check out what my blog is "rated" and this is what I found out:

Online Dating

Mingle2

And that rating was based on the appearance of the word "hurt" and "knife." What? I guess they missed my numerous references to polyamorous relationships, my blog entirely about tongues, me offering my sissy's paw in whatever to various other dogs and the assortment of pictures of me eating meaty goodness. What does a dog have to do to get an R rating around here?

Is it because I'm fixed?

UPDATE: I re-rated myself and apparently I've gotten naughtier simply by virtue of including a link rating myself. Curious:
