Fighting MAAAAAD!

We're SO MAD. Our ma ape is a little busy right now getting ready to see GranNE and Gramps but we have BIG NEWS about winning an award and planting a garden and being generally awesome but our ma ape says she's too busy to help us blog and yet we found some INCRIMINATING PHOTOS that are making us BARKING MAD. Let us demonstrate (warning: photos not for the faint of heart):

See? That's mad. Our ma ape has been traveling. Look! (Don't look if you are Lola or Sophie Brador who are so mad at the Flyers because they are kind of beating the Habs in the hockeys.)
And then they saw THIS! Let's take a closer look, shall we?


It's a lady in a convertible with a poodle on her lap talking on the phone! (The lady, not the poodle). NOT COOL, LADY! The ape tried to lure the poodle to jump in the passenger window but she refused. I'm not sure it was less safe than her situation seen here.

Where was the ape going? To a PET EXPO sponsored by Philly No Kill! There were all kinds of dogs there and it was a small miracle none of them came home with the ape.


Even though many were quite handsome.

And others quite adventurous.

And some were half Ethels!

And OMD! That is our human bestie who comes and visits us when our ma ape is out of town! But wait--he's CHEATING ON US! He was there telling people about his AWESOME art site. He wasn't supposed be acting like our shameless hussy ma ape!

Well, we'll maybe forgive him since he might have mistaken this dog for Otis after a dye job to make him match us.

OK, the ape has promised to help us blog again before she leaves on Wednesday. There will be heck to pay if she doesn't!

Snoring Boring!

It has been raining for 900 days and OMD we are so stinking bored. Here are some things we did:

1. Otis murdered some of the ma ape's bamboo starts.
2. I, OBST, pushed Otis down the stairs.
3. I also discovered I can pull Otis around by his neck waddle. TOO MUCH FUN.
4. We ate bully sticks and then made copious amounts of gas.

We also had to do things like look at old pictures of the good old days when we could play outside.


And laff at some photos of Otis Potus getting stuck in his toy. He is not the brains of this operation. In fact, we're not quite sure who has them right now.




And we played with the Wu-Name Generator! Now we can be in the Wu-Tang Clan! We are no longer Ethel Jean, Oscar Bean, and Otus Potus we are...

SPCA Saturday (Good things come in bunches edition!)

Hello! This is your buddy Jughead bringing you bunches of SPCA Saturday fun.

Oops! Let me get in frame.

That's better. I'm going to tell you about how we have good things in bunches at the SPCA. But first some singleton friends.

Ms. Seven! She makes suds like Mango and she is a sizeable lady.


And Lovely Lizzy still at the SPCA (WTF peeps!)

And here is a beagle n' chihuahua mix, he's fat enough for two so he comes in bunches, too!

Now, bunches! We have bunches of rabbits.

And they eat bunches of vegetables.

And this guy is bunches big!

This is Ross who is part bunny because made does he like to HOP HOP HOP bunches.



And here is Beast T. Beefcake!

With bunches of slobber!
And WTF! Is this OBST at the SPCA?

Nah, this whirling dervish is Champion, an OBST impersonator in socks! (Like Lizzy, Ethel Impersonator in socks! Next week will there be a corgador in socks/??!!!??!?!?!)

He has a tendency to chase his tail and be a bit, er, half cocked. Even more than OBST the original. Someone is in for a treat!

There are bunches of beagles (like 7 of 'em) that are part of a court case:

They were born at the SPCA and since they are part of a cruelty case they have to stay there. Cutie Patooties, I say! (But not as cute as my babies, I must also say.)


And then these jugheads came in with the babies' mama. They all have big heads and butchered ears like me! They are part of the court case, too, which is why it looks like they are in jail which is totally backwards because they are GOOD guys and the BAD GUYS are still out there.


This guy looks like me on a diet! (No thank you, die-t!)

And this guy is a brindle big-head oldie. Handsome!

I hope all the bunches who can go home do and I hope all the court cases wind up with the bad guys in jail and the good guys in new homes getting bunches and bunches of love!

Dogs are Good For You.

The New York Times has a story about how AWESOME dogs are for human health. They have an anecdote about how a child with autism was coaxed into speaking more after he got a dog.


The child health institute is now commissioning stories about how AWESOME dogs are. Duh. Here is a video that illustrates why dogs are so awesome. It is a highly scientific study on dogs that I found on YouTube.

It's for Glaucoma, I swear

Last week's vet visit was prompted by an incident in which I was glassy-eyed and disoriented. The vet couldn't find anything physically wrong but my ma ape saw something on the news today that she thinks might explain the whole incident.



Now she thinks I'm bogarting a stash.

Shhhh...it's Oscar BS Teen!

Guys, guys! IT'S OSCAR BEAN SUPER TEEN Shhhh...I'm trying not to let the secret out but I found the coolest thing in my house and I think it was my burpday present for my TERRIBLE TWOS! It was like a squeaky that MOVED! And squeaked! And pooped!

And kissed me!
But then I lost it. Oh I'm in such big trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHHHHHH!

SPCA Saturday (Smally Wally Edition!)

Hello! See this serious and intelligent face? Don't I look like Wally in Lhasa Apso form? I am MIKEY! Bringing you this week's SPCA Saturday! I am also like Wally in that when I am stressed I like to lie down. And I play hard to get. But I am also devastatingly handsome.

I am also like Wally in that sometimes I am all up in other doggy's bidness! This here is my bud Peanut!

Peanut is new to the SPCA just like me!

And yo! This is Doc! I was not in his bidness. Not cuz I didn't want to be but because his bidness was too tall. He's a totally sweet dude.

Oh! Here is Gizmo the Shi Tzu all up in YOUR bidness.

Gizmo is an oldie but goodie. Can you believe someone dropped off their oldie doggie at the SPCA cuz he was old??? NOT COOL.

Here's Princess. She is not fond of other dogs (understatement) so I am not in her bidness.


See this dude? He is BRUISER! I am not in his bidness either!
But that's cuz he's got a good friend, Mia, to be in his bidness! They came in together and they get so excited about seeing each other. Wouldn't it be nice if they could be adopted together?


And REGGIE who is a goofball! He's totally a scaredy cat cuz he was seized from a home where he was neglected but once you carry him outside he's a sweety. I would get in his bidness.

And Wally thought his friend Joe Stains would be especially interested in this lady who is a Boston Terrier but brindle like Ruby Bleu! But her name is SOPHIE!

OH NO! DOOFUS ATTACK!
