Edgrr's Big Day

I didn't want to steal the big man's burpday thunder this week but the truth is I had a big traveling adventure of my own!  It was the greatest day ever!  Maybe even better than when I mooched my way into my new house.

First, meet my new bestie!  This is TUCKER! He's a "foster dog" who lives with my other real world besties.  I use quotes because his foster dad is the worst foster dad ever because he has like a million foster dogs who never left. (OK, quite a few who have left).  Though he did manage to get rid of OBST by giving him to us. That's how bad OBST was!  He didn't even want him!

I played coy at first but Tucker and I did some pretty epic zoomies.

Epic for sure.

And then I met Tucker's sibbies Tuchunk, I mean Tuchuck on the left and Narra on the right. I liked her a lot because she's a familiar sheppy shape!

And then we all got in a van for a ride!  Where are we going????  (Note: Tucker and I barfed 5 times between the two of us but that was not documented on film for some reason).  Where was the barfmobile headed???

TO HERD SHEEPS!

Me and Narra (who is a total pro) and Tucker got to do herdings!

I was really cautious at first but got into it when I relaxed a bit.

My ape said she wishes I was this calm and methodical at home!  Whatevs.

Tucker is totes a madman and was totally into it.  And I wasn't too shabby for a little guy.

Look!  They listen to me!!!!

The MIGHTY CORGI.  (Someone sez I've been a bit big for my britches.  WHAT IS SHE TALKING ABOUT?)

On the way home Tucker and I were sleepy (and still barfy) boos.

And now we're like total awesome herding friends.  I can't wait to play again!  I've been studying hard watching this documentary.

And I should extend a big THANK YOU to my buddies over at Lucky Skies for taking me along with them even though I barfed. And especially thanks to their ape who had this PAWESOME idea and took us all in his big van.

Happy Pit Boo Awareness Day!

Yesterday was Pit Boo Awareness Day and we went to the RALLY FOR HOPE at the Delaware SPCA! It was a motorcycle rally but I did not get to ride a hog even though I know the ladies wanted to see me in my leather chaps. Instead I went to the BBQ par-tay after the ride. I must say I did an excellent job of raising awareness, especially of my general awesomeness. I met many many friends including small children whose parents think I might eat their wee ones but I am totally gentle and nice and don't even knock them over with my big head. Here are some awesome friends:

This dude is a new at the SPCA but loves to be outside where he had maybe never really been before because he was totes scared.

PUPPY SCRUM!

No, puppies IN COSTUME scrum. Oh my.

I think this girl with the cow stuffie head was a zombie because she chewed on my jowls. True story.

Hubba hubba! This is Casper, the elderly greyhound. Her peeps were selling baby tees and greyhound coats! She was indifferent to me even when I offered to clean her nethers.

She spent most of her day relaxing. Smart lady!

Speaking of hot babes, this one came with the other rescue organizing the event, Companimals. She's wearing a Rally for Hope T-shirt, perhaps to keep me from her nethers.

And look at who I met! This is Narra. I'm good buds with her ape who was very nice and visited me on the regular while my ma ape was away this summer. She rocks as much as he does! We'll probably be besties because we have much in common because she is quite the athlete, just like me:

And her ape was selling some Art!

This bully boy is Ty, the resident boo-dog at the SPCA.

But the best part of the rally (other than ME) was BAR-B-QUE!!!

I hope you feel more aware already. I feel more hungry.

By the way, we will no longer be doing regular SPCA Saturdays here. Because they will have their own blog! Yeah, we're running an SPCA blog where we will share info about the dogs in residence! You can find it here. We'll let you know when we post things.

The O Team!

Wally has entrusted us with his blog with very specific rules 1) NO SHOUTING 2) Don't alienate his friends 3) Keep up SPCA Saturday 4) NO SHOUTING 5) Be cool. So here I go! I thought it appropriate (see how learn-ed I became as soon as I stepped up to my responsibility!) to begin by telling you about my new international team of superbrothers. I am now a part of the O-Team (not to be confused with O-Town). It is appropriate because there is a happy new beginning up north in this land of Canadamerica, my new bestie OWEN C. PICKLES!

Owen C. is Sophie's new brudder. Welcome to the family, bud! And here's O-Bro II--me! Oscar Bean, Super Teen!

And ANOTHER brudder from ANOTHER mudder---TheO or, as I call him, The O, O-Bro III!

And every band of brudders needs a leader.

That's right! We are O'Tanner and the Os! United against Mean Sisters like Sophreaking Mean and Ethel Jean, Mean Queen, and Narra the Ice Queen. Tan Torkelson even got a party bus! Whoa. I don't know if we're a gang or if we're going to fight crime or be a boy band or WHAT but we have a superawesome name and maybe we'll get a clubhouse or something.

So I think I did a pretty darn good job of following the rules (highly questionable on the cool thing--Ethel) for my first blog post all by myself.

I believe I have upheld the high standards of dignity, intelligence and subtle wit QUITE WELL.

OBST.

A Grab Bag of Good Times

Things have been very sad around here lately so I thought I would take this opportunity to wish Sophie's ape a happy happy birthday and share with you some of the many things that happened that were not sad.

First, my ape has become obsessed with photographically documenting my every cute moment which is every moment which means I do not get a moment's rest from the puparazzi.

I can sort of understand, though, as this is a devastatingly handsome face. I'm sure this is how Angelina Jolie feels. It's not easy being beautiful.

A boy cannot even get a belly rub in peace! (Look at my pawesome corgi ears, though!)

Now things that happened other than the relentless pursuit of the puparazzi. I got a package in the mail!

Pawsonalized snacks! Can you see who is on the bag?

LinkYes! The only thing tastier than delicious snacks from The Baker's Dog is being able to look at a picture of myself as I eat them!

I approve.

And my picky sissy goes goofy for them.

And then me and my sibs were caught in the act of conspiring. Our lips are sealed as to what we were up to.

Nothing involving a plan to hypnotize the apes were our amazing eyes. I swear. (Though lamb shanks were purchased. I'm just saying.)

I need to beware of working with this crew, though. They are not reliable partners.

And then I let my brudder go to the dog park to play with his buddy Tuchuck and be ignored by Chuck's sister Narra.

Chuck brought his brudder, er, foster brudder (right guys?) Theo to the park for his coming out party! (I mean coming out in public, right guys?) And now Oscar has a NEW BESTIE!

Oscar loves him some cookie faces.

Especially the new guy.

I think they are going to run away to Vermont and get married.

If Oscar can catch him.

But, Theo, before you get too confident about your love that dare not bark its name, just remember--there's no love....

Like brudderly love.

The drawback of the puparazzi--I get caught sharing the snuggle ball with my brudder.

Happy burpday, Sophie's ape!
