Waiting for Godot. No, Santa.

We are waiting for my Auntie Ira's plane to arrive so we can pick her up. I am hoping Santa is on her flight so we can cut to the chase and open our prezzies. I am very lucky this year that I have something BETTER than Santa--my girlfriends! First, my lady Randi sent me a Get Well card to help heal my ticker.

I feel better already! And then I got a WHOLE BOX of stuff from my lady Samantha. Including a red sock monkey! I have to keep my eyes on my Onkel Eric because he has been threatening to steal it. And look! A Green Wiener! And a Red Wiener! And a Bovine Stick! So much fun.

And now I need to have a little chat with Santa. Some of us have been extra good this year putting up with their obnoxious matching set of siblings:

And some of us have even been willing to snuggle with their bratty younger brudders so they are not afraid of the dark:

But don't let the sheppys apparent feigned sweetness fool you. They have been extra wild this year.

And others a bit, um, shameless:

So I'll be waiting for their coal and my wonderful prezzies, though I won't stay up too late because no matter what you bring it couldn't possibly top my wonderful friends and girlfriends!

P.S. Thank you so much Randi and Brat Pack!

Naughty and Nice

As it is the holiday season I have been making my list and checking it twice and I have been picking out some things that I want. First, the snow has reminded me how hard it is for me to keep up with peppy sheppys.

Their long legs give them a definite advantage in the snow.

So I believe I would like one of these contraptions. No, not a cat. A roomba and then I could ride around and boss them about.

Next, my Auntie Ira is coming to visit me from Sweden! I cannot wait for the meatballs and lingonberries!

And some herrings, please!

And for all my girlfriends and bromances I got you this--a steamy corgador in a snowbank:

And now I'm off to get some coal to put in the sheppy stockings!

Congradulations Dr. Auntie Ira!

I heard some good news about my Auntie Ira who is now Dr. Auntie! She defended her Diss-her-Playstation and is a DOCTOR of PHILOSOPHY in LITERATURE. She can now diagnose and treat your ill texts!

You deserve nothin' but the very best, so lean in. Closer. Closer.

WALLY SMOOCH!

Well done, Doctor Auntie Ira, Phd!

Happy Burpday Auntie Ira!

Happy Burpday AUNTIE IRA! She is married to my onkel Eric who resembles the guy in the picture above. Ira's burpday not officially until the 6th but she's in Sweden so it's her burpday NOW (she shares a burpday with joe stains though i don't think hers lasts quite as long).

Here is a burpday song for Auntie in Swedish!

Ja må hon leva,
ja må hon leva.
ja må hon leva uti hundrade år!
Ja visst ska hon leva,
ja visst ska hon leva,
ja visst ska hon leva uti hundrade år.
Hon lever! Hurra! Hurra! Hurra

I have no idea what this says or how to sing it but I can imagine it as an ABBA performance with a kicky beat, sparkly outfits and coordinated dance moves. I think it has something about living to be a hundred. And then saying hurrah a lot which, I'd imagine is shouting "Hurrah!" because Wally is your favorite nephew. And I can't imagine wanting to be 100 without Wally around, eh? Have a great one Auntie Ira! Put down the Hegel and do a little celebratin' with the Minerva Owl!
