Life's Disappointments

Things that disappointed me today:

1) It is Monday. That is always disappointing.
2) Britney Spears's performance at the MTV Awards.
3) Baseball! I root for THREE TEAMS and it looks like all have experienced disastrous end of the season collapses. And it's a boring game to boot! Baseball is OVER.
4) The Eagles. They lost to the PACKERS.
5) The death of Alex, the 31-year old talking parrot who learned 150 words. And I bet at least some of those were dirty.
6) My personal photographer. Classic moments she missed today: playing bitey face with my ma ape, a particularly noisy and vigorous roaching session on her pile of dirty clothes that I hauled out of the hamper, a singing session at the top of the stairs.
7) The weather. Why is it 89-degrees and HUMID. It is AUTUMN stupid weather!
8) Realizing that if Notre Dame and Michigan are playing each other next week, one of those teams will win.
9) Only getting one chicken drummy for dinner.
10) We have polished off the tasty tasty biscuits Sparky sent us.

So, amidst all of this disappointment what keeps me going?

That little light within.

Wally, Are your eyes bionic? Is this something you're dying to tell us. Are you excited about the new bionic woman remake with Starbuck from BSG playing the "bad" bionic woman because she was so super cool, there has to be two. Oops. Sorry. Got a bit carried away there.

That's gotta make you feel better...Is there anything I can do to make you feel better 'ole Wally????

I must agree about some of those things. Mondays, the Britney Spears trainwreck, rooting for not good baseball teams (What happened to my Cardinals????) and hot weather!

Oh the other hand, always always ALWAYS root for Michigan! :)

Shucks, poor Corgador, we had a swell day and now we find that our Wally friend was experiencing a blue Monday. Can we share some of our good humor? Or would you prefer staying in funk -- kind of like Eeyore, who made an appearance in my post today?

Mom and Dogdad are truly bummed about the Cardinals losing three games-- but you should feel better that the Cubs whooped them today. Go ahead, we can handle it.

Keep chuggin!!! Things will turn around. They always do. And then hey turn around again.

Only one drummy??? I got a whole chicken leg & didn't that was NEARLY enough.

Oh & that poor Britney...I almost feel bad for her. I don't know what was worse...the bad hair, the bad outfit, the bad dancing or the bad (aka non-existant singing). I had to turn away. It was just BAD!

Oh & I like the idea of our own Nation!! ShermieWallytown or WallyShermstown or WaShTown...whatever, you've got the right idea!

If you didn't watch those bizarre American sports you wouldn't be disappointed would ya?

I didn't know anyone watched Britney.

I had a brill Monday - master and mistress were both home as it was National Day here so no work. Hehe.

Sorry I'm not feeling very sympathetic.

Mistress is. She knows Mondays used to be terrible when she used to have to go back to the weekly daytime prison.

Hey Wally,
Do you have x ray vision?? Can you like see thru your ma ape's grocery bags even before they unload them? *curious*
PS : Don't be sad...if it helps, I HATE Mondays too.

Woober!

Everydoggie & Grammie seem to think you're sending them secret messages with those googly green eyes! Is that possible? Is it part of YOUR world domination plot? Or, is it just your lovelight (ala Neil Diamond), that shines wherever you go, making a happy glow for all the world to see?

Sorry there is no digital image capture of you singing, playing bitey face with the ma ape or your major roachin' session. Any one of those could be it's own post (or a series). I want to see video of the singing & the bitey face with the ma ape! PLEASE!! Just a precious few seconds is all I need, but I've gotta see you IN ACTION!

Goober love and smooches,
Stanley
