The Good Cook

My pal Joe Stains has a ma who can cook like nobody's business. I've seen and drooled over her blog and her mad cooking skills for Joe and his Bro.

So I decided that my ma ape needs to cook more but the problem is that she does not eatable the meatables! So I got her a new cookbook. Even though she already has 200. And even though by "I got" I mean I pestered the other ape to get her this book that sounds like a cross between animal-free eating and devil worship:

While I do love the meatables I ALSO love the greenables so I looked through her book and helped her pick out some recipes. Nori rolls please!

Mmmmm..chickpea cutlets!

Since it was FOOTBALL DAY my ma ape decided to make tasty snacks so she made Chili Non Queso and Cutlets and Red Pepper Bean Dip and COCONUT PIE. And I can vouch for them all. But she forgot to take pictures which is ok because her food always looks like A** in pictures. And, also, like a good vegan, she fed us BUFFALO BONES for dinner. Awesome! I didn't even notice the apes not enjoying the football.

And someone stole our snow (I DIDN'T EAT IT ALL, ETHEL!) it is cold and I don't know what the point is of being cold without snow.

More coconut pie and snow, please.

Hi Wally - its a good thing your ma-ape doesn't eat the meatables, cuz then there are WAY MORE meatables for you & your sissy...My mom/secretary only eats a little meatables...mostly in the form of McD. cheeseburgers about 4x a year..with fries & a chocolate shake...& I usually steal some..so it works out well....

Yum..coconut pie..sounds scruptious! Maybe if you put pie tins outside, you could make a snow pie when it snows again....

Love & Licks,
Randi

hey Wally, will your ma ape start an eating blog too? Cause since Joe Stains' ma started hers, we've been getting the BESTEST plates and pots and pans to lick lick lick!

how can your ma ape not eat meatables? What is wrong with that woman? Though Randi is right it means more for you and Ethel.

My mom said that she is jealous that your mom has so much will power. She could live without meat, but cheese - pahleeze.

My Mom is one of those non-meatable vegans too. Her favorite cookbook is "The New Farm Cookbook." Very down-home type recipes, whatever that means. Cheeze sauce to die for!!!

Mom says thanks so much for the compliment on her blog. She has a lot of friends who are vegheads and vegans and she has had some very tasty vege food. She has slowly been convincing our Dad who could eat meat 24X7 to try some meat alternatives because EVERY meal he eats is meat. So he eats tacos with Boca crumbles and morningstar sausage patties and fake beef taquitos. so now the only real meat he eats is bacon! Mom says every little bit helps his insides be healthier. your mom's insides must be WAY healthy!

I was chewing on my Ichiro doll today and thought of you. It's not anywhere as good as those eatables you were talking about. Grammie did give us Wallymelon last week. I think we get more this week. I spied one of those green stripy balls in the cold eatable box with your picture on it.

Hey Wally, J1 is a non-cheese eating vegetarian, but not a vegan as she still eats yoghurt. Pawsonally, I quite like the green stuff too, even though I prefer meatables. So I get to eat some of her dinner and she NEVER gets to eat any of mine. Perfect! J x

All that food sounds yum. I would miss my meat though, so don't think I could ever be a vegetarian!

Hi Wally! My dad is like your mom, but not all the way vegan. He is vegetarian and he makes me eat vegetarian dog kibble too. Borrrring.... My mom takes pity on me sometimes though and gives me a bone.

That sushi looks good! Good strategy giving her that cookbook!

Oooh, we've never had buffalo bones. Those sound good. Our Mom is boring.

We're still waiting for snow here. They said a wintry mix on Thursday maybe, whatever the hell that is.

PS Mom is going vegetarian...we'd push for vegan but afraid she'd crack with no cheese.

Hey, Woobs!

Double that order for me... I'll take what you're having.

We have the remnants of our snow here, but it's all dirty and beaten down from Stella chasing me all over the yard. And, we NEVER have cocunut pie. So... I think your ma ape should at least take pity on me in the only way she can help in filling my order. Since she is not the all-powerful weather ape, she can make me some coconut pie, please.

Goober love & smooches to your ma ape (Yes, I'm totally sucking up here),
Stanley
