Oh Otis

Well hello there.

The sheppys off doing Adderall or whatever it is that makes them spazpants and makes them so skinny so I am taking over the keyboard to say hello and clear up some spurious claims.

First, I am not fat. I just wear horizontal stripes which are not flattering to my sturdy figure.

Second, I am NOT so smelly that a blast of my breath can send the most tolerant sheppy running.

And, Mr. Torkelson, that is NOT a WASSUP face as I am nothing if not dignified.

And I am NOT short. The sheppys are freakishly tall (though the lady one has some great gams on her).

And I most certainly DO NOT snore. Video or it didn't happen.

Otis,
I agree that horizontal stripes can make you look bigger then you are. I wear them myself. Nothing we can do about that.
Embrace your smelliness. Who cares. I can clear a room with one tiny fart. It is a great power.
Being freakishly tall myself. I make my brother look quite short when we have pictures taken together. He doesn't like being called short either but what can you do. As long as you know you aren't it is all good.

Nice to meet you Otis...I think you are very handsome. I like doggies who are a bit more substantial anyway...you wear your strips well!

Lots of Licks, Ruby

sustantial is the correct word. I am a "substantial" wire fox terrier, and after several years of eating muzzer's cooking, Teka is now a "substantial" JRT. We feel it lends a certain "gravitas" to our blog.

well no matter, my Jeannie and I think you are beauteous.

which is a good word and you deserve every letter of it.

my Jeannie wants to kinda make you her own, she says you have attitude, and you may, but only may, fill the Big Man's shoes.

Big Man being Wally, though I didn't have to explain that, but just in case you thought a big man was hanging around with shoes.

sorry My Name Is Marvin and I get easily confused.

Stripes are good too.

love and licks, your new pal,

Marvin xxxx Who doesn't do stripes, I am a bit like Victoria Beckham (well not skinny obviously!) but I don't do fashion.

Or have I got the wrong Victoria?

goodness knows, life sure gets confusing, I am just so pleased to meet ya!

I am confused. Those look like vertical stripes to me.

Anyway, fat is good--you never know when famine might set in, so it's best to be ready.

Welcome, Otis!! We knew all about you from your smells on our human. Your smells are substantial indeed!

We hope you'll never feel the regret of being unable to lunch today--or any day!

Well hello, Mr. O.

Mom started wracking her brain to remember why she liked your name -- and then it came to her. The song (Cole Porter?) "Miss Otis regrets..." and the follow-up reference in another Broadway show, changing Miss to Mr. -- "Mr. Otis regrets...".

All this by way of saying that we are certain Mr. Otis will have absolutely no regrets at his new life in the company of the peppy sheppies and the inimitable ma ape!!

Wirey woofs of welcome!

Otis,
You are one lucky pup to be able to join this rather eccentric family. You are in for one wonderful ride. Enjoy.

Oh hey, does this mean the O Team is still on?

Also, since not all of us can have the privilege of smelling you in person--tell us a little more about yourself! What do you like to do when you're not farting or snoring (which is all the time, clearly)?

Hello Otis.

Nice to meet you.

I do hope you wont become a suitor of La Flirtador and Randi. At my age, I am rather struggling to keep tabs on the flirtacious minxes.
