At least your face is hidden!! Did you see how mortified I was last month when I had the towl -- pink no less -- draped around my face so everyone could see my humiliation??
We know "their" caring about our not being wet from the rain is a sign of love; but nothing beats running through the house like mad dogs, shaking most of the water off, rubbing against the walls to get more off, and then, for the final touch, roaching on the carpet!!
You know my moms love you very much. I don't mind the towel because it means that I get lots of smoochies with my rub down. Men pay lots of money for that kind of service. We low to the ground dogs have an unfair proportion of towel rubbing down - especially in the belly and untoward, unmentionable areas that the same men pay a lot to have done to them.

You need a new point of view, perhaps. Think of the towel as your super Wally cape! Of course proper draping is important.
Slobbers,

I hate the towel too. I much prefer to dry off on the sofa.
