I'm a Snooze Man

I became a bit concerned about the comments in our last blog post when many commenters mistook my obvious superior comportment for a lack of energy. I would just like to assure all my friends, especially the ladies, that I am quite spry for an old guy. Note how I feel the groove with my most large head which takes much energy to bob to the beat.

As this song by the nice fellow Rufus Thomas would imply, I am awake for at least 60 minutes a day.

60 minutes of wakefulness per day is plenty to get all the required activities accomplished without undue wear and tear on yourself.

I understand how exhausting it can be to tote around and large and full of brains head such as yours. Besides, why get up for bitey face when Edgrrr is happy to come over and stick his pointy head right in your jaws of doom? How thoughtful of him.

Now, I noted yesterday that you wake your Ma Ape up at 4:30 AM and she goes walkies. How do you ever manage that? I wake mine up at around 5:30 and I am lucky to get walkies by 7AM! What the heck is she doing in between?

Otis T. If you are awake for an hour a day, you would be about average around here. You are more than welcome anytime. We will send Teka to live with Edgrr so he does not miss you too much.

I prefer about 60 seconds of awake time myself. It truly is exhausting being as studly and awesome as I am. In additions, I must regulate the behaviors of my fellow housemates including kittehs. Sometimes I don't even have the energy for the pre-bedtime potty's. I just hold it. I do, however, have the energy to steal my Mamma's warm spot on the couch when she gets up. She can be gone for 5 seconds and BAM! stolen...

Well, none of we commenters so far cast any aspersions on your admirable zen qualities. In fact, we emulate them with much encouragement from mama. You are a model for us, for sure.

Wakefullness is overrated. Around here, Arwen keeps one eye open to rule her magnificent (lol) kingdom, but actually getting up and about is reserved only for ice cube treats!

We really do understand your situation, but don't loose hope, I know you can do it, just push your self for the better!
