Memories

Our Gramps said this was one of his favorite quotes and it is one of ours, too, because it reminds us of our brudder:

Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by these.

Memories are independent creatures. Kind of like us dawgs.

Sometimes they come when called.

Other times they don't.

And still other times they just turn up!!!

Wally, here's to you!!

Wirey love,

Jake and Just Harry

We'll never forget you, Wally! You went to the bridge the same day our dad passed away and we would like to think that you made the journey hand in paw. Rest well, sweet boy!

I just saw this! And I love it. It almost makes me wish I was a stray dog instead of just a farm dog.

Mom is going to put that on the fridge when she gets home from Paris and tack it up with her Wally magnet.

Gramps and Wally ... two smart dudes!
